Specialized Critical Care for Mothers & Newborns
At Red Crescent Hospital Jhang, our Gynae ICU and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provide specialized critical care for women and newborns who require close observation, advanced monitoring and intensive medical support. The units are supported by trained clinical teams and essential critical-care infrastructure, helping ensure timely assessment, continuous monitoring and coordinated patient management.
The Gynae ICU is designed to provide dedicated intensive care for women requiring a higher level of medical supervision. The unit includes 5 ICU beds, 2 ventilators, cardiac monitors, oxygen supply and a dedicated crash cart with defibrillator. Direct lift access further supports efficient movement of patients when required.
The NICU and Nursery provide a dedicated environment for the care of newborns requiring specialized medical attention. The facilities include neonatal cribs, incubators, warmers, phototherapy units and resuscitation equipment, supporting newborns who need additional monitoring and care. The NICU has 5 stations, while the Nursery provides additional dedicated space for newborn care.
Together, the Gynae ICU and NICU form an important part of the hospital’s specialized maternal and neonatal care services, working alongside the Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency and Operation Theatre departments to provide coordinated care when patients require intensive support
